In March 2020 Covid 19 completely changed the way we had to work. Live events stopped dead and even shoots had new challenges. If we couldn’t be on set how could we provide our service to our clients?

In September we carried out our first remote prompting job between Auckland and Wanaka. Here’s how the client found the experience…

“Steve saved the day. I am spoiled from 20 years working in Los Angeles, perhaps the production hub of the world. Our standards are VERY high and honestly I was really nervous when I found out how little teleprompter was used in NZ.

But Steve was just perfect. Just like a prompter is supposed to feel, he invisibly led me through the day without a single take lost to his error in two full time days.” – Juliet Funt, CEO, WhiteSpace at Work

Announcing remote teleprompting to any internet-connected device, from mobile phones to laptops, anywhere in the country.

Prompt Service can deliver an on-camera ProPrompter system with mounting brackets for handheld devices from the smallest smartphone through to iPad, as well as a 7” HDMI monitor. We can also supply brackets for beside/above-lens mounting of mobile devices.

If you need to reduce onsite crew numbers we can pre-rig our full-size 22” on-camera displays prior to the gig ready to accept our remote prompt signal.

We can even feed any HDMI-in monitor connected to an online laptop with HDMI out, ideal for stand-up presentations (AGMs, award shows).

If a client requires professional prompting for a Zoom or other video conference we can provide a mobile device and laptop mount kit (with light if required), or simply feed to their laptop screen with our professional prompting service PinP directly below their webcam.

As long as we can hear the presenter, Prompt Service’s operators- utilising the latest Winplus IP software– can provide the same 5-star service we can when onsite. Let’s face it, most of the time we’re tucked in the corner or beyond the stage curtain anyway!

And the bonus is that, even once we’re allowed to get back on location, we’ll now be able to remotely feed unlimited mobile devices- MC’s tablets, Jib and steadicam displays, additional off-camera monitors- at the same time.

MC need to travel away from the lectern to a satellite stage? No problem- we’ll feed the same script to their tablet.
Need to feed an additional off-camera monitor at the last minute? Mount a laptop or ipad in the presenter’s eyeline. All at no additional fee unless additional display equipment is required.
